School Site Council

Wagon Wheel School participates in California's School Improvement Program. State funds are allocated to the school for use in developing and improving school instructional programs. This is accomplished by providing staff training, purchasing materials for teachers and students, buying needed equipment and funding other things that will benefit the students in our school and make our programs better. Expenditures stem from a written plan that is developed by a group consisting equally of staff members and community members, The organization, called the School Site Council is an important group at our school. It is, along with the PTA, a powerful source of advisement for the school administration. It is the group that determines the educational direction of the school. Members are elected by their constituency and meet regularly to plan, debate and recommend on matters important to the school and our students.
